Ingredients

Directions:

  • 250g elbow macaroni
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup PlantBased Cheese Shreds
  • 1 tbsp allpurpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened plant milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • In a saucepan, heat oil and sauté onions and garlic until soft.
  • Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add plant milk, whisking constantly to avoid lumps.
  • Add Cheese Shreds and stir until melted.
  • Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Toss in macaroni, mix well, and serve hot.
  • Dip each mozzarella stick into the flour, then the milk, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  • Repeat for extra crispiness.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the sticks until golden brown.
  • Serve with marinara sauce.
